ATHLON ANNUAL SPORTS MEET 2025–26

The Annual Sports Meet ATHLON 2025–26 was successfully organized by the Haya Students’ Union in association with the Department of Physical Education on 11th and 13th February 2026. The two-day sports event was conducted with great enthusiasm, unity, and sportsmanship. It provided a wonderful platform for students to showcase their physical talents and team spirit.The inaugural ceremony was held on 11th February at 10:00 AM. The programme began with a prayer by Nysha Fathima, invoking blessings for the smooth conduct of the meet. The oath was administered by Fathima Sharin, General Captain, promising fair play and discipline throughout the competitions.The welcome speech was delivered by Hamraz Ahamed M, Assistant Professor & Head of Physical Education, who warmly welcomed the chief guest and gathering. The Presidential Address was delivered by Aysha Liyana P, Chairperson, highlighting the importance of sports in building leadership and character. The Principal, Dr. Mohammed Basheer Ummathur, addressed the gathering and encouraged students to participate actively and uphold the spirit of sportsmanship.The sports meet was officially inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Hana Mhd, Freestyler, who inspired the students with motivating words and wonderful performance. Felicitations were offered by Eng. O. Abdul Ali, Manager, Dr. Usman, TS President, and Adham Thanari, NTS Secretary. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Fathimathul Busthana, Vice Chairperson, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the event.The first day events included March Past, Aerobics display, 400 meters race (heats and final), Shot Put, Long Jump, Chess, Javelin Throw, 200 meters race, and the exciting 4×100 meters relay. The students actively participated and displayed remarkable energy and determination.The second day, held on 13th February, was equally vibrant and competitive. The events conducted were 200 meters final, Discus Throw, 1500 meters race, 100 meters race and final, High Jump, Sack Race, Tug of War, and the thrilling 4×200 meters relay. The Tug of War and relay races created a lively atmosphere and drew loud cheers from the audience.The competitions were organized under four teams: MUGALS, KALINGAS, MAURYANS, and GUPTAS. All teams competed with strong team spirit and discipline. After two days of healthy competition, MUGALS emerged as the Overall Champions, while MAURYANS secured the second position.All teaching and non-teaching staff actively supported the programme by serving as judges and helping in the smooth conduct of events. Their cooperation and coordination ensured the grand success of ATHLON 2025–26.
