Workshop on Resume Building and LinkedIn Profile

The ASAP – RUSA Equity Initiative at K.A.H.M. Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, successfully organized a comprehensive one-day workshop titled "Resume Building & LinkedIn Profile" on February 18, 2026. Held at the Aryabhata Hall, the program commenced at 09:30 AM with an insightful inaugural ceremony where the Principal delivered the keynote address. The Principal emphasized the critical need for students to bridge the gap between academic excellence and professional employability, urging the attendees to proactively craft their digital identities in an increasingly competitive global job market.The technical sessions were led by Mr. Danien D., a seasoned Skill Development Executive from ASAP. His presentation was highly interactive, focusing on the nuances of modern recruitment.Furthermore, he guided the students through the strategic optimization of LinkedIn profiles, demonstrating how to use the platform for professional networking, personal branding, and discovering "hidden" job opportunities. The workshop saw enthusiastic participation from a diverse cohort of students representing multiple disciplines, including Mathematics, English, B.Com, Chemistry, Botany, and History. This multidisciplinary attendance enriched the Q&A sessions, as students from various academic backgrounds sought tailored advice on showcasing their specific skill sets. The event was coordinated by Faculty Coordinator Dr. Krishna Sunder A.The program concluded at 03:30 PM with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by the Student Co-ordinator, Ms. Faheeda Nasreen T.M., who expressed sincere gratitude to the resource person for his practical insights and to the college administration for fostering such an empowering learning environment. The workshop left the participants with a clear roadmap for their professional journey and the tangible tools needed to stand out to potential employers.
