The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) is an initiative by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, to evaluate and rank higher education institutions across the country. Introduced in 2015, NIRF assesses institutions based on various parameters, including teaching, learning, and resources, research and professional practices, graduation outcomes, outreach and inclusivity, and perception. The rankings aim to foster competitive excellence and transparency in the education sector, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions while promoting quality improvement in higher education.
