Release of Fish Seed to Fish Pond

On 19th December 2024, Zoology club under the Department of Zoology released fish seeds as a part of hands-on learning of pisciculture and a source of income generation. As part of this program, 120 Tilapia hatchlings (Oreochromis niloticus) were released into the fish pond in the campus. The program was inaugurated by Manager, Er. O. Abdul Ali and Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur by releasing fish hatchlings. Dr. K. Fousi (Associate Professor and Head, Zoology), and Dr. Said Hamid Thangal P (Assistant Professor, Zoology), Student coordinators Devi Krishna M (B.Sc. Botany) and Ramyasree KK (B.Sc. Family and Community Science) and students of Zoology and Zoology club members also released fish seeds.
