VIJNANOLSAVAM 2025 INAUGURATED AT UNITY WOMEN’S COLLEGE

The institutional level inauguration of FYUGP 2025 was held at Aryabhata Hall, K.A.H.M Unity Women’s College, Manjeri on Tuesday. The ceremony was inaugurated by Advocate Abdurahman Karat, President, Malappuram Block Panchayath, and presided over by Prof. (Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur, Principal of the college.

 

The programme began with a welcome address by Mr. Shabeermon M, Coordinator, FYUGP. Felicitations were offered by Dr. Shahina Mol A K, IQAC Coordinator; Dr. Haris U, Secretary, Staff Club; Adam Thanari, Secretary, Non-Teaching Staff; and Ms. Shahana Sherin K T, Vice Chairperson, College Union. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Noushadali P K, Head of the Department of Arabic.

 

Prior to the institutional function, Dr. R Bindu, Hon’ble Minister for Higher Education, Government of Kerala, inaugurated the state-level VIJNANOLSAVAM 2025 (FYUGP 2025-26) at Government Arts College, Calicut. The online telecast of the state-level inauguration was streamed on YouTube, which was watched by students, parents, and staff at the college.

 

As part of the inaugural day events, a special session on “Mental Health” was conducted by Ms. Abhirami O U, Psychologist, Jeevani Counsel Cell, providing students valuable insights into managing emotional well-being. Later, students visited the college library, where Mr. Younus, Librarian, introduced them to the various facilities and innovative initiatives of the Shihab Thangal Library and Information Centre.
