Hands on training on freshwater aquaculture

The campus fish pond became a hub of activity on March 03, 2026 as the MDC and Zoology Club combined education with entrepreneurship through a new pisciculture practice. By releasing 60 Pygocentrus netterei (Nutter fish) hatchlings, the training aims to provide students with hands-on experience in fish farming while creating a viable source of income for their life. The trainig was inaugurated by Principal Prof. (Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur, who were joined by faculty members Dr. K. Fousi and Dr. Said Hamid Thangal P. Students of MDC and Zooogy club also participated in the release, marking a successful start to this practical learning venture.
