Union & Fine Arts Inauguration at KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri

“You should learn to dream, and consistent dreams will lead you to success,” urged Shahana Sharthu, renowned social activist and motivational speaker, as she addressed the gathering at the College Union and Fine Arts Inauguration held on December 8, 2025 at the College Auditorium.
In her keynote, she cautioned against the dangers of neutrality and highlighted the importance of being socially aware and actively engaged in the democratic fabric of our times.
The ceremony began with Prof. (Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur administering the oath to the newly elected Union Members, who formally assumed their responsibilities under the banner of Haya Students’ Union.
The Fine Arts inauguration was graced by Mr. Qudrath, celebrated storyteller and vlogger, whose captivating narratives conveyed timeless lessons of human values. His session culminated in the unveiling of the Fine Arts logo, “Kalaima”, symbolising creativity and cultural spirit.
An introductory note for the programme was delivered by Dr. Jyoti P., Staff Advisor, who offered a rich account of the college’s history and legacy. Ayisha Liyana, the newly elected Chairperson gave an inspiring address, underscoring the growing need for skill-based learning in the age of artificial intelligence.
The event was further enriched by felicitations from Jb. O. Abdul Ali, College Manager, and Dr. Hikmathullah V., Fine Arts Director. Warm words of encouragement were also shared by Ms. Binshida (Fine Arts Secretary) and Dr. Harris (Staff Club Secretary).
The formal proceedings concluded with a gracious vote of thanks by Ms. Fathima Rasha, General Secretary. The inauguration was then celebrated with a vibrant musical performance by Fadil and Seppy, leaving the audience uplifted and inspired.
