"Spectacle 2025": A Celebration of Academic Excellence
Korambayil Ahamed Haji Memorial Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, hosted a magnificent event, "Spectacle 2025," to celebrate its remarkable achievement of being accredited with an 'A' grade by NAAC. The ceremony was conducted on August 11, 2025 at the College auditorium. The programme was a powerful tribute to the collective effort and unwavering dedication of the entire college community.
The celebration began with a warm and heartfelt welcome note from the Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur, who eloquently expressed the profound significance of the NAAC accreditation as a benchmark of the college's commitment to quality education. Following this, the esteemed President of the College Governing Body, Sayyid Munavvar Ali Shihab Thangal, delivered the presidential address and officially inaugurated "Spectacle 2025," praising the college's milestone achievement.
A stirring keynote address was delivered by Adv. U. A. Latheef, MLA, Manjeri Municipality and Secretary of the College Governing Body. His words resonated with a message of institutional pride and the pivotal role of education in societal progress. The felicitation session was enriched by the presence of Janab O. Abdul Ali, the college's Manager, who congratulated the team on their success.
A highlight of the evening was the powerful speech by Dr. Shahina Mol A.K., Head of the Department of English and IQAC Coordinator, who shared her personal experiences and the intricate journey of the NAAC re-accreditation process, offering an inspiring look into the dedication behind the success. The stage was then graced by a host of distinguished speakers who offered their felicitations, including Mr. Muhammed (Nani), a member of the college governing body, and former Principals Dr. Pakrutty, Dr. Abdu Rahman, and Dr. Muhammed N. Their presence provided a historical continuity, linking the college's past with its present triumph. Further congratulations came from Mr. N.T. Abdul Hakeem, member of the Management committee and Dr. Rahib, a former IQAC member and retired faculty, along with other key figures like Dr. Usman A, Dr. Shabeermon A, Dr. Himna (a representative of the Unity Alumni), Dr. Harris U., staff club secretary and Ms. Shahana Sherin K. T., the Vice Chairperson. Each speaker's words reflected a deep sense of pride and collective accomplishment.
The formal proceedings concluded with a well-deserved honouring ceremony for the entire Unity team, a moment of profound gratitude and recognition for every individual’s contribution. Dr. Abdul Rof, Head of the Department of Mathematics, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all who made the event a grand success.
