KRAVE KORNER 2K24 The Department of Commerce (Co-op &CA) organized a Food Fest, titled ‘KRAVE KORNER 2K24’, as part of Commerce Day celebration on Friday, August 9, 2024, at College Auditorium. This event aimed to nurture the selling and marketing skills of commerce students along with instilling a sense of responsibility towards customers. By participating in this interactive and engaging platform, students had the opportunity to develop their entrepreneurial abilities and also to apply their knowledge in a practical environment. The Food Fest was officially inaugurated by Manager O. Abdul Ali in the presence of College Principal Prof. (Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur. The event featured 14 stalls, each with a unique theme, where students showcased their creativity through theme based attire and cuisine. A panel of judges comprising Mr.Noushad Ali PK (HOD & Assistant Professor, Department of Arabic) ,Mr.Faizal TK (Assistant Professor, Department of History) and Dr. Annie Ninan (HOD and Associate Professor, Department of Home science) evaluated the stalls based on established criteria and the stall named “Malapporthe Peedia” secured first place. To further enhance the event’s appeal, the Department hosted a photography competition and spot dance, created a lively atmosphere. The event was skillfully co-ordinated by Ms Nandana Das (5th Semester B.Com Cooperation) and Ms Minsha C (5th Semester B.Com Computer Application), under the guidance of faculty coordinators Ms Farseena Jabeen K, Assistant Professor of Commerce and Ms. Shiyana EK Assistant Professor of Commerce (Adhoc). Their collective efforts ensured a seamless and engaging experience for all participants and attendees. The program proved to be a valuable experience for the students, enabling them to develop not only their entrepreneurial skills but also their negotiation and bargaining abilities, which are essential for success in business and beyond.
