Spreadsheet Day Celebration Organized by IT Club
The IT Club of Unity Women’s College celebrated Spreadsheet Day with great enthusiasm on October 17, 2023. The program was inaugurated by the esteemed College Principal, Prof. Dr. Basheer Ummathur, and was a remarkable event that showcased the department’s commitment to enhancing computer skills among students. His inspiring words emphasized the importance of spreadsheet software in modern education and the professional world. He highlighted the role of technology in shaping the future of students and encouraged them to embrace such opportunities. The event was well-attended, with students from the entire Computer Science department, faculty members, and the Program Coordinator, Mr. Shihab Sir, all present in the college’s computer lab. The audience actively participated in the discussions, asking questions and seeking clarifications on various Excel-related topics.
One of the highlights of the event was the captivating presentation by Shana Buhaisa.P, a student in the 5th semester of the Computer Science program. Shana’s expertise in Microsoft Excel was evident as she took the stage to deliver her presentation. She shared insights, tips, and tricks on various features and functions of MS Excel that were both informative and engaging. Shana’s ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and understandable manner was greatly appreciated by the audience. Her presentation not only showcased her knowledge but also demonstrated the department’s commitment to nurturing talent and promoting peer learning.
