Industrial Visit to Kannan Devan Hills Plantations- Munnar
An industrial visit was organized by the PG department of Commerce to Kannan Devan Hills Plantations (KDHP Co. Pvt. Ltd.) at Mattuppetty, Munnar on 9th Dec 2023. The visit aimed to render participants with applied visions into the tea manufacturing process, plantation management, and sustainable practices applied by one of the leading tea producers in the region. KDHP is committed to tea cultivation. The factory has an opulent history in tea production. Participants explored the processing unit, perceiving the withering, rolling, fermentation, drying, and sorting stages. The factory’s state-of-the-art machinery and observance to quality standards were apparent throughout the production process. Participants had the chance to visit and sample various teas produced by the company. A total of 77 students (from both third sem Bcom Cooperation and 3rd Sem Bcom CA) participated. Prof. TT Abdul Razak, Dr. Febina. K, Shaheeb PT, Yasir Yaseen and Rahya Thasneem accompanied the students
