On 05 June 2025, marking the occasion of World Environment Day, the Zoology Club and the Department of Zoology successfully conducted a fish harvesting and sale program as the final phase of our campus pisciculture practice. This event followed the release of 120 Tilapia hatchlings (Oreochromis niloticus) in December 2024, providing students with a complete hands on aquaculture management. Under the guidance of Dr. Said Hamid Thangal P, students actively participated in the professional harvesting process, ensuring the yield was handled with care to maintain high quality.The formal sale was inaugurated by the Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur, who purchased the first harvested fish. Managed efficiently by student coordinators Devi Krishna M and Ramyasree KK, along with dedicated Zoology Club members, the fresh Tilapia was sold to college staff at a subsidized campus rate.
