Overview

The department was started in 1991. The course offered is a subsidiary (complementary course) subject for BSc Family and Community Science (Main) and BSc Botany (Main) students. As per schemes and syllabi of the University of Calicut, the subjects are taught in the first two years of the program.

Department at a Glance

The Department offers complementary course to B.Sc. Botany and B.Sc. Family and Community Science students in the first two years of their undergraduate programme. Including marginal increase, around 180 students pursue the course in a year.

The Department has the credit of

  • Consistently getting more than 90% pass percentage every year.
  • Successfully completed Three Minor Research Projects
  • Conducted Environment Awareness Campaign supported by MoEF
