Inauguration of Althea Psychology Association (2025–26)
The Department of Psychology, KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, organized the Althea Psychology Association Inauguration for the academic year 2025–26 on 05 February 2026 at Aryabhatta Hall. The programme commenced with a welcome speech by Ms. Maneesha K. P., Assistant Professor and Head of the Department, followed by a video presentation highlighting the academic and outreach activities of the Department of Psychology.
The Presidential Address was delivered by Principal Prof. Dr. Muhammed Basheer Ummathur, who emphasized the significance of mental health awareness and student engagement in co-curricular activities. The association was formally inaugurated by Ms. Abhirami O. U., Jeevani Counsellor, who shared valuable insights on the importance of setting healthy personal boundaries and emotional well-being through an engaging and interactive session.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Sakeena Raza, Association Secretary. The event was coordinated by Faculty Coordinator Ms. Raha Suhood (Assistant Professor, Ad hoc) and Student Coordinator Ms. Shibla Sherin, 2nd year BSc Psychology, ensuring the smooth conduct of the programme.
