The Department of Psychology, KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, organized the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meeting for the 1st, 3rd, and 5th semester B.Sc. Psychology students on 31st October 2025. The objective of the meeting was to strengthen the partnership between parents and teachers to improve students’ academic performance and holistic development.

The session began with a welcome address by Ms. Maneesha K. P., Assistant Professor (Adhoc) and Head of the Department , who introduced the department and presented an overview of the curriculum and academic activities. She also emphasized the significance of discipline and the shared responsibility of teachers and parents in promoting academic excellence and personal growth.

Ms. Raha Suhood C., Assistant Professor (Adhoc), spoke about the various opportunities and prospects of the programme, followed by this Ms. Hamidha K. P., Assistant Professor, who gave a briefing on the FYUGP curriculum.

Class tutors — Ms. Raha Suhood C. (3rd semester), Ms. Maneesha K. P. (5th semester), and Ms. Hamidha K. P. (1st semester) — reviewed students’ academic performance, discussed internal examination results, and distributed progress reports to parents. The parents actively participated by sharing feedback and suggestions regarding their wards’ academic and behavioural progress.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Hamidha K. P., Assistant Professor (Adhoc). The session proved to be productive and interactive, reinforcing the collaborative relationship between parents and teachers for the overall betterment of students.
