Movie Screening in Observance of Alzheimer’s Day:
In connection with the observance of Alzheimer’s Day, the Department of Psychology, KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, organized a meaningful movie screening on 22nd September 2025 at 9:30 AM. The program was coordinated by Ms. Maneesha K.P, Head of the Department of Psychology, along with Ms. Aflaha, Student Coordinator from the 5th Semester. The film Kishkindha Kandam was screened, which effectively portrayed the struggles of memory loss and the deep emotional and social challenges faced by individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and their families. The screening not only provided students with an opportunity to understand the psychological and emotional dimensions of dementia but also emphasized the importance of empathy patience, and care in supporting those affected. Following the movie, students shared their reflections, linking the themes of the film with real-life situations, which enriched their learning experience. The event proved to be both educational and thought-provoking, fulfilling its objective of spreading awareness about Alzheimer’s disease.
