Field visit to Psychopark
The Department of Psychology of KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, organized a field visit to Psychopark, Trivandrum on 15 August 2025. The visit was attended by the second and third-year psychology students, providing them with an opportunity to explore psychological concepts in a practical and engaging environment.The programme began with an introductory session by Ms. Lekha, who familiarized the students with the objectives and significance of Psychopark. Following this, Ms. Lekha and Ms. Namitha guided the students through the various exhibits, which showcased a wide range of displays related to different psychological theories and the history of psychology. This exposure allowed students to directly experience the evolution and application of psychological knowledge.The visit also included an interactive session with the psychologist and director of Psychopark, Mr. L.R. Madhujan. During this session, students had the opportunity to raise questions, clarify doubts, and engage in meaningful discussions, enriching their understanding of psychology beyond textbooks.
The field visit was coordinated by Ms. Raha Suhood (Assistant Professor, Adhoc) and Ms. Fathima Swohba (5th Semester Psychology). The trip proved to be a highly enriching experience, bridging theoretical knowledge with practical insights, while fostering curiosity and critical thinking among the participants.
