Observance of Autistic Pride Day: Celebrating Differences, Embracing Inclusion

The Department of Psychology organized a field visit titled *“Observance of Autistic Pride Day: Celebrating Differences, Embracing Inclusion”* at Pearl Buds School, Panakkad, on 18th June 2025. The program was coordinated by Ms. Maneesha K P, Head of the Department of Psychology, and student coordinator Ms. Yumna Mohamed of II Year BSc Psychology. The objective of the visit was to promote awareness about autism, celebrate neurodiversity, and encourage inclusive practices within educational settings. As part of the program, students engaged the children in storytelling, art activities, and interactive games that fostered participation and self-expression. The children of Pearl Buds School showcased their talents through cultural performances, creating a joyful and inclusive atmosphere. The visit concluded with a reflection session where students shared their experiences and received positive feedback from the school staff. The program offered valuable learning for the students and emphasized the importance of embracing differences and building an inclusive society.
