Field Trip to Marigold Cultivation
The Department of Mathematics conducted a field trip for fifth-semester B.Sc Mathematics students as part of Experiential learning. The team visited 2 and a half acres of Marigold cultivation done by Mr. Saifulla P, Young Farmer Award winner at Perinthalmanna on 30th August 2022. Students collected data to find the average number of flowers in each plant using statistical methods and to learn more about the scope of statistics in the field of cultivation. The resource person gave a talk on the cultivation of marigolds and the challenges faced during this cultivation period.
