National Statistics Day Observation 2023
Department of Mathematics KAHM Unity Women's College Manjeri, jointly with
Mathematics and Statistics Club organized a talk on Significance and Applications of
Statistics as a part of National Statistics Day observation on 3 rd July 2023. Dr. Saheeda Riyas,
Statistical Investigator, Department of Economics and Statistics Malappuram presented the
topic.
She emphasized the importance of statistics in decision-making, policy formulation,
and understanding real-world phenomena. Dr. Saheeda Riyas discussed key statistical
concepts, tools, and techniques, showcasing their practical application through examples and
case studies.
Principal Prof.(Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur, IQAC Coordinator Dr. AK
Shahina Mol, faculty members of the Department, Abdul Rof V, Ashitha PA, Farsana M and
student coordinator of Mathematics and Statistics Club, Hiba Sharin addressed the gathering.
