Paper Presentation by Dr. Hikmathulla V at Literary Festival – Chennai Aashrayam Cultural Forum
On August 10, 2025, Dr. Hikmathulla V, Assistant Professor in the Department of Malayalam at K.A.H.M. Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, participated in a Literary Festival organized by the Chennai Aashrayam Cultural Forum. The event, held to commemorate the legendary theatre personality Kavalam Narayana Panicker as part of the forum’s 10th anniversary celebrations, took place at Vivekananda Hall, opposite Marina Beach, Chennai.
Dr. Hikmathulla V presented a paper titled “Malayalam Theatre: Changing Imaginations.” The festival was inaugurated by renowned actress and socio-cultural activist Ms. Rohini. During the event, eminent writer Mr. Karivellur Murali was honored with the Aashrayam Literary Award. The seminar also featured a presentation on Kavalam Narayana Panicker’s plays by Dr. Rajavariar, along with addresses by Dr. P.M. Girish, Dr. Rajendra Babu, and other notable figures.
