Kerala Piravi Day

The Department of Malayalam at KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, celebrated Kerala Piravi Day with great enthusiasm and cultural fervor, on 1 November 2024. The event commenced with a warm welcome speech delivered by Binha from the 1st semester history , who emphasized the significance of Kerala Piravi and its celebration of the state’s rich heritage and culture.
The inaugural address was given by the respected Principal, Dr. Muhammed Basheer Ummatoor . He highlighted the importance of unity and the cultural identity of Kerala, encouraging students to embrace and celebrate their roots. His words set a positive tone for the event.
Following the inaugural speech, Muhsina, a 1st semester English student, shared her reflections on Kerala’s cultural diversity and the pride of being part of such a vibrant state.
Arifa Beegum, a faculty member from the Malayalam department, also addressed the gathering. She spoke about the significance of Kerala Piravi, emphasizing how it symbolizes the state’s progress and unity.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Avanthika from the 1st semester English. She expressed gratitude to the principal, faculty, and all the students for their participation and support in making the event a success.
The celebration featured various cultural programs, including songs, dances, and folk songs performed by the 1st semester students.
