HOME SCIENCE ASSOCIATION INAUGURATION
The inauguration of Home Science Association was held on 22nd January 2026 at 2.00 PM in the Aryabhatta Hall. The programme aimed to formally inaugurate the departmental association and create awareness among students on the risks of menstrual irregularities in young women.
The programme began with a welcome address by Ms. Farsana Shirin K, Assistant Professor (Adhoc) and the faculty-in- charge of Home Science Association.The presidential address was delivered by Dr. N. V. Fatimathu Zuhara, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Home Science. She emphasized the role of the departmental association in promoting academic excellence, strengthening relationships, and leadership development.
The association inauguration and expert talk was carried out by Dr. Rifna C (MBBS, MS, DNB), Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, Aster MIMS Mother Hospital, Areekode. She delivered an informative session on menstrual disorders, hormonal imbalances, lifestyle risk factors, and the importance of timely medical intervention.
Students actively interacted with the expert and clarified their doubts. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Shana A. K, Association Secretary, IV Semester B.Sc. FCS.
