The PTA Meeting for the 1st, 3rd, and 5th semester BSc Family and Community Science students was held on 31st October 2025 at 2:00 pm in Ellen Hall (Room No. 105). The aim of the meeting was to review students’ academic progress and address concerns related to their overall development, while the key objectives included evaluating attendance, classroom behaviour, and assessment performance, and discussing personal or behavioural issues that required attention. Dr. N. V. Fatimathu Zuhara, Assistant Professor and Head of the PG Department of Home Science, welcomed the parents and outlined the purpose of the meeting. She presented an overview of students’ overall performance and distributed progress reports, after which class tutors conducted class-wise discussions and interacted individually with parents to address specific concerns. Issues such as irregular attendance, class skipping, and lack of interest in retests were highlighted, and students requiring additional support were discussed separately with their parents. The meeting concluded at 3:30 pm with a positive outcome, as parents gained a clear understanding of their ward’s academic standing, and faculty and parents mutually agreed on steps to enhance student discipline, performance, and overall development, thereby fostering better support for improved student learning.
