Alumni Entrepreneurs' Stories - Chapter 1 “Creative Minds for a Safe and Sustainable Future”

The PG Department of Home Science conducted Alumni Entrepreneurs' Stories - Chapter 1, on 23rd October, 2025 at 2:45 pm in the Aryabhatta Hall. The aim of the session was to inspire and motivate students through the experiences of department alumni. The objective was to provide a platform for students to learn from successful entrepreneurs and understand the importance of creativity and sustainability in business. The resource persons, Ms. Suhada Asas and Ms. Mubashira, alumnae of the BSc FCS 2005-08 batch, shared their journey of starting and running a startup and emphasized the significance of incorporating sustainable practices and creative thinking in entrepreneurship. They ignited the students, encouraging them to think innovatively and develop solutions for a better future.
The session started with a welcome address by Ms. Bushaira V, Assistant Professor (Adhoc), who highlighted the importance of the session. The resource persons shared their experiences and the students cleared their doubts with them. Dr. NV Fatimathu Zuhara, Assistant Professor and Head and Dr. Annie Ninan, Former Head of the department, joined the session online. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Fathima Shafiya Kurikkal, I Sem MSc Home Science - Nutrition & Dietetics. The event was coordinated by Lt. Loosiya KP, Assistant Professor (Adhoc), and Ms. Fathima Arshida MT, III Sem MSc Home Science - Nutrition & Dietetics, with active participation from faculties, UG and PG students.
The outcome of the session was that students gained valuable insights into sustainable entrepreneurship, creative problem-solving, and innovation in business, inspiring them to pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations.
