Debate on Artificial Intelligence: Threat to Human Employment
As part of the association programme, the Department of Home Science conducted a debate competition on the topic " Artificial Intelligence: Threat to Human Employment " on July 31st , 2025 at Room no. B 105 . The aim of the debate was to foster critical thinking, research, and effective communication skills among students, while exploring the impact of artificial intelligence on human employment. Two teams, Team A and Team B, participated in the debate, presenting well-researched arguments for and against the topic. They demonstrated excellent teamwork and communication skills, engaging the judges alike. After a fierce competition, Team A emerged as the winner. The debate highlighted that artificial intelligence has the potential to automate jobs, potentially displacing workers in various industries, but it can also create new job opportunities, enhance productivity, and improve work efficiency. The program was successfully coordinated by Mrs. Farsana Shirin K, Assistant Professor (Adhoc) and Ms.Dilsha K, Association Secretary (5th Semester B.Sc. FCS).
