LEHERIYA-Farewell Function Honoring Dr. Annie Ninan, Head, Department of Home Science
On 8th February 2025, the PG Department of Home Science and the Home Science Alumni Association jointly organized a heartfelt farewell function to honor Dr. Annie Ninan, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Home Science, on the occasion of her retirement.
The event commenced with a warm welcome by Dr. Fatimathu Zuhara, who highlighted Dr. Annie Ninan’s invaluable contributions to the department’s growth and success. Prof. (Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur, Principal, acknowledged her integral role in the institution, commending her unwavering commitment to academic excellence and student development.
Distinguished guests, including Adv. U A Latheef, MLA & General Secretary of the College Management Committee, as well as HSC Alumni Executive Member Nadeera, Mr. Soji, Ms. Raseena, and the Heads of various departments, graced the occasion with their presence and shared their appreciation for Dr. Annie Ninan’s legacy.
A cake-cutting ceremony followed, symbolizing the cherished memories and camaraderie built over the years. As a token of appreciation, the department and alumni presented mementos to Dr. Annie Ninan, expressing their gratitude for her immense contributions.
The farewell celebration continued with a lunch gathering, further strengthening the bonds within the department and alumni network. Nearly 100 alumni attended the event, sharing heartfelt anecdotes and personal experiences about Dr. Annie Ninan’s profound impact on their academic and professional journeys.
