As part of World Heart Day Celebration, PG Department of Home Science organized an exhibition in the college and played a video presentation related to the heart disease. A combination of unhealthy diets and sedentary life style has lead to an increase in the heart disease rates.  The students displayed hypocholesterolemic foods and a balanced diet for a heart patient in the entrance of A P J Abdul Kalam Block to create awareness on the need for protecting our heart.  Informative charts on heart, different types of heart diseases, nutritional management and antioxidants were put up and explained to the students. A healthy walk is conducted in the campus to promote physical exercise among people to be more attentive to their heart health. Students and teachers were participated. On the same day, a heart song with a good message also played in the college radio.
