Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) Meeting 2025–2026

The PG Department of Computer Science, KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, conducted the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meeting for B.Sc Computer Science students on 31st October 2025 at Charles Babbage Hall. The meeting was presided over by Dr. Haris U., Head of the PG Department of Computer Science. The primary objective of the meeting was to enhance the academic collaboration between parents and teachers, ensuring the overall academic and personal development of students.

The session commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Haris U., who highlighted the department’s academic progress and upcoming initiatives. He appreciated the continuous support of parents and emphasized the importance of active parent-teacher communication in improving student performance.

Key discussions were held on various agenda items, including Grade Card Distribution, IoT Exhibition, Internship/Study Tour, Final Year Project, Laptop Distribution, and Student Outpass System. Parents expressed their appreciation for the academic progress and provided valuable suggestions for further improvement.

The IoT Exhibition was planned for the upcoming month, encouraging parental involvement and student participation. Proposals for the Internship/Study Tour Camp and Laptop Distribution Program were approved. The Final Year Project progress was reviewed, and parents were advised to motivate students for timely submission.

The department also discussed Practical Oriented Sessions, Hands-on Workshops, and Alumni Interaction Programs under the initiative “ScholarlyPath – Bridging Students and Alumni.” Parents responded positively to these ideas, acknowledging their value in enhancing students’ practical exposure.

Furthermore, discussions were held regarding Student Scholarships and the implementation of a support system for deserving students. Parents also suggested strengthening communication among parents, students, and teachers for better academic monitoring.
