ScholarlyPath – Bridging Students & Alumni: Chapter 1- “Strategies for Smarter Study and Stronger Projects”

The PG Department of Computer Science organized ScholarlyPath – Bridging Students & Alumni – Chapter 1 on “Strategies for Smarter Study and Stronger Projects” on 31st October 2025 at 8:00 PM through Google Meet.

The primary aim of the session was to motivate and guide students by sharing practical insights and academic experiences from the department’s alumni. The objective was to help students develop effective study habits, adopt productive learning techniques, and strengthen their approach to academic projects.

The session was handled by Ms. Hiba T H, Alumna of the M.Sc. Computer Science (2023–2025) batch. She shared valuable tips on time management, project planning, research methodologies, and how to integrate innovative ideas into academic work. She also emphasized the importance of collaboration, consistent effort, and critical thinking in achieving academic excellence.

The program began with a welcome address by Ms. Swapna K, Assistant Professor (Adhoc) and Faculty Coordinator, who highlighted the importance of such alumni interactions in enhancing student learning and professional development.
Dr. Haris Ummath, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department, joined the session and appreciated the initiative, encouraging more such engagements to build a strong academic network between students and alumni.

An interactive discussion followed, where students actively participated by asking questions about project development, technical skills, and exam preparation. The resource person provided insightful answers and shared personal experiences to guide students.

The feedback for the session was presented by Ms. Busthana Yasmin, a 3rd Semester M.Sc. Computer Science student, who expressed gratitude for the informative and inspiring talk.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Murshida Sherin M.C, Student Coordinator and 3rd Semester M.Sc. Computer Science student, who thanked the management, faculty, and participants for their support and cooperation.

Overall, the session was highly beneficial and marked a successful beginning to the ScholarlyPath alumni lecture series, aiming to foster continuous learning and mentorship within the department.
