Chaya & Puffs – A Kickstart to TinkerHub
"Chaya & Puffs" marked the official onboarding event of TinkerHub at our campus. The session aimed to introduce students to the vision, mission, and yearly goals of the community while setting the tone for a vibrant and hands-on learning culture.
The event began with a welcome address by Asla, Women in Tech Lead of TinkerHub, followed by a note from our Faculty Coordinator, Assistant Professor Shihabul Haq. Dr.Haris U, Head of the Department, delivered a special address highlighting the importance of student-led tech initiatives. The official inauguration was done by Dr. Muhammad Basheer Ummathoor, Principal of our college, whose encouraging words inspired students to actively participate in community-led learning. A vote of thanks for the inaugural session was delivered by Isha, Outreach Lead of TinkerHub.
After the formal session, Salha M Khalfan, Campus Lead, introduced what TinkerHub is all about-its vision, mission, this year’s theme, and why it matters to students. Then, Fathima Afra, Learning Coordinator, presented the yearly activity plan and upcoming opportunities.
The core team of TinkerHub was introduced to the attendees, and a short documentary was screened to give students a glimpse into the wider TinkerHub movement across campuses.
The event wrapped up with the distribution of snacks and marked the beginning of an exciting journey for the student community. "Chaya & Puffs" successfully set the vibe for a collaborative, curious, and active tech space on campus.
