PTA Meeting – First Year BSc CS
A Parent-Teacher Association (PTA)for the first-year BSc Computer Science studentswas held on February 23, 2024, at 2:00 PM.The event commenced with a warm welcome from Ms. Shameema PT, the Tutor of the second semester BSc Computer Science. Dr. Muhammad Basheer Ummathur, the College Principal, inaugurated the session, underscoring the institution’s unwavering commitment to nurturing not only academic prowess but also the holistic development of its students. Mr. Rahib B, the Head of the Department, delivered an impassioned speech emphasizing the indispensable role of parents in their children’s academic journey.
Assistant Professor, Haris U elaborated on the critical factors contributing to student success, including regular attendance, preparation for university exams, and adherence to punctuality. Mr. Shihabul Haq M, Assistant Professor, eloquently articulated the pressing need for enhanced communication channels between parents and students to facilitate a more profound and meaningful learning experience.
Furthermore, the distribution of progress cards provided parents with a comprehensive overview of their child’s academic performance, fostering transparency and accountability. The ensuing dialogue allowed parents to offer valuable insights and feedback on teaching methodologies and the overall learning environment. Moreover, queries concerning the grading system and curriculum were diligently addressed, ensuring clarity and understanding among all stakeholders.
The meeting concluded with the active participation of 32 parents. Ms Jashira P, Assistant Professor, delivered vote of thanks.
