An Awareness Programme on Conservation of Energy was jointly organized by the Department of Chemistry and the Energy Club of KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, on 19 January 2026 at 9.30 a.m. in the Aryabhatta Hall as part of the observance of National Energy Conservation Day. The programme began with a prayer followed by a welcome address by Dr. Jyothi P, Head and Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry, and a presidential address by Prof. (Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur, Principal of the college, who emphasized the role of educational institutions in promoting sustainable energy practices. The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Baiju C, Assistant Executive Engineer, KSEB, Manjeri, who also delivered an informative awareness talk highlighting the importance of efficient energy utilization, reduction of power wastage, and responsible energy consumption. A felicitation address was delivered by Mr. Mohammed Nissar KT, Assistant Administrative Officer, Electrical Circle, Manjeri, appreciating the initiative taken by the institution in creating awareness among students. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Jamsheena V and Ms. Fathima Hasna, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Jamsheena V, with active participation from students and faculty members.
