Activities

The Department of Chemistry, KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, in association with Alchem Unity, organized an Honoring Ceremony on 12 January 2026 at 9.30 AM in Aryabhatta Hall to recognize the academic excellence of meritorious students. The programme began with a prayer, followed by a welcome address by Dr. Jyothi P, Head of the Department of Chemistry. The ceremony was formally inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur, Principal of the college, who congratulated the awardees and emphasized the importance of academic dedication and perseverance.

As part of the ceremony, mementos and cash awards were presented to Ms. Muhsina K (3rd position) and Ms. Fathima Safa (8th position) in the MSc Chemistry (2023–2025) programme. In addition, Alchem Unity-sponsored books were distributed to the toppers of the 2024–2025 academic year, including Ms. Muhsina K (2nd year PG), Ms. Fathima Hassainar (1st year PG), Ms. Raniya A.K (3rd year UG), Ms. Fathima Hamna (2nd year UG), and Ms. Niya Hanna M (1st year UG).

The awardees were felicitated by Dr. Usman, Staff Club President, and Ms. Munavvira, an alumna of the 2013–2016 batch, who shared words of encouragement and inspiration with the students. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Jamsheena V, Coordinator and Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry. The Honoring Ceremony served as a motivating platform that reinforced the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and alumni engagement.
