Association Programme on Nobel Prize Winners in Chemistry – “Nobel Luminaries: Illuminating the Path to Excellence”
The Research Department of Chemistry organized an inspiring association programme titled “Nobel Luminaries: Illuminating the Path to Excellence” on 4 December 2025. The event introduced students to the remarkable contributions of the 2025 Nobel Prize winners in Chemistry. Second-semester B.Sc. Chemistry student Ms. Rifa N presented the groundbreaking work of scientists Susumu Kitagawa, Richard Robson, and Omar M. Yaghi on metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), coordination polymers, and porous materials—innovations that have revolutionized gas storage, catalysis, and advanced material design.The programme concluded with a quiz competition on “Nobel Luminaries and Their Contributions.” Students participated enthusiastically, showcasing their curiosity and grasp of the scientific achievements highlighted during the session.
