Activities

The first session of the International Webinar Series “Frontiers in Chemical Research – FCR 2025” organized by the PG and Research Department of Chemistry was held on 16th August 2025 from 2.00 to 3.30 pm. The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Deepa K, followed by the formal inauguration by the Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur. The technical session was chaired by Dr. Shamsheera K O, and the invited lecture was delivered by Dr. Rajalakshmi Rajendran, Postdoctoral Researcher at the Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, on the topic “Materials & Electrochemistry: Research Pathways for Future Chemists.” She shared her valuable insights on emerging research directions in materials and electrochemistry along with her personal research journey, which inspired the participants. The session was effectively anchored by Ms. Hana Fathima, and an engaging interaction with the resource person enriched the programme. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Jesna K K.
