Workshop on Fingerprint Analysis
The PG and Research Department of Chemistry, in collaboration with Serah Zines LLP, Calicut, conducted a Fingerprint Analysis Workshop on 25th July 2025. The workshop aimed to introduce students to the scientific and practical aspects of fingerprint analysis and its applications in forensic investigations. Mr. Akash M., Technical Assistant at the Forensic Lab, CUSAT, served as the resource person. He delivered an insightful session covering fingerprint detection techniques, classification methods, and real-time forensic applications. His demonstrations and interactive presentation were highly informative and well received by the students. The workshop was coordinated by Dr. Shamsheera K O, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry. This collaborative initiative provided students with valuable exposure to forensic practices and effectively bridged academic learning with real-world forensic applications.
