Industrial Visit: Win Pipes Industry
On 18th December 2024, as part of their industrial visit, students from the Chemistry
Department of K.A.H.M. Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, visited Win Pipes
Industry in Pullara, Malappuram. The students received a warm welcome from the
company's staff and were guided through the plant, where they gained a
comprehensive understanding of the PVC pipe manufacturing process. The guide
explained each stage in detail, including raw material mixing, extrusion, cooling,
cutting, and finishing, as well as the quality control tests involved. The visit provided
valuable insights into the chemistry behind PVC production, enriching the students'
practical knowledge. The visit concluded with a warm sendoff, and the students
expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the informative and engaging experience.
