Extension Program "Cleanliness is Next to Godliness"
The Department of Chemistry, KAHM Unity Women's College, Manjeri, organized an extension program titled "Cleanliness is Next to Godliness" on 18.01.2025, 4.30 pm. This awareness program focused on the preparation and effective use of cleansing agents and was conducted for the Ayalkootam of the 45th ward, Manjeri Municipality.
The program was coordinated by Dr. Jasna V. C., under the guidance of Dr. Thasnim P, department Incubation Centre Coordinator.
The event included an interactive awareness session where participants were educated on the significance of cleanliness in daily life and the preparation of cost-effective, sustainable cleansing agents. The session also highlighted the scientific principles behind these formulations, making it accessible and practical for the local community.
As part of the initiative, cleansing agents prepared at the department's Incubation Centre were distributed to the participants. This gesture not only reinforced the practical application of the session but also encouraged the community to adopt sustainable practices.
The program was well-received by the attendees, fostering awareness and a sense of responsibility towards maintaining cleanliness in their surroundings. It also served as an excellent example of academia contributing to societal welfare.
