16 th Lecture on ‘Alumni Lecture Series’ was held on 5 th July 2024 conducted by Department
of Chemistry, KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri. The Department of chemistry,
KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri hosted an inspiring alumni lecture titled “Pursuing
Your Passion with Determination” on July 5, 2024. The event featured Mrs. Farsana N, a
distinguished alumnus from the Class of B.Sc. 2007-10 and the current working as Chemistry
teacher - Senior secondary level at MES INDIAN SCHOOL, Qatar. The lecture aimed to
motivate students to follow their dreams with unwavering commitment. She inspired and
engaged the graduate at 12.00 pm. Mrs. Suhada KM, Assistant Professor, Department of the
Chemistry, gave a formal welcome message. Mrs. Farsana N interacted with the students,
“Pursuing your passion with determination”, sharing her experience and the journey after
completing B.Sc. Chemistry. She cheerfully answered students' questions, offering insights
into the numerous job prospects accessible outside of academia. Mrs. Farsana N is an
exemplary figure in the teaching field in abroad. Her journey from a passionate student to a
successful teacher served as the foundation for his lecture, offering valuable insights into
achieving one’s goals. Mrs. Suhada, Coordinator, expressed gratitude to the speaker for the
excellent insights she gave. The lecture concluded with an engaging Q&A session where
students had the opportunity to ask Farsana about his experiences and seek advice on their
career paths. John answered questions ranging from startup challenges to work-life balance,
providing personalized insights and encouragement. The whole programme was coordinated
by Mrs. Suhada K.M., Assistant Professor, PG Department of Chemistry, KAHM Unity
Women’s College, Manjeri. Finally, the vote of thanks was given by Mrs. Suhada K.M.,
Assistant Professor, PG Department of Chemistry. About 30 students are participated in the
programme and this session was end by 01.00 pm.
