Alumni Interaction with Ms. Fathima Haffa

An inspiring alumni interaction session was organized by the Department of Chemistry on 9th January 2025. The session featured Ms. Fathima Haffa Avunhippuram, an accomplished alumna of the department (B.Sc. Chemistry, 2017–2020 batch). Ms. Fathima Haffa pursued her postgraduate studies in Forensic Science at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, and shared her journey with current students. The event commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by Dr. Jyothi P, Head of the Department and Associate Professor of Chemistry. Ms. Fathima Haffa narrated her academic and professional journey, highlighting the challenges and opportunities she encountered. Her insights into the field of forensic science and her inspiring story captivated the audience and motivated students to pursue their goals with determination. The session concluded with an engaging interaction, where students enthusiastically asked questions about her experiences, the field of forensic science, and career opportunities. The program ended with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Ms. Fathima Liyana, Student coordinator of the programme, expressing gratitude to Ms. Fathima Haffa for her valuable time and the inspiring session. The event was a resounding success, leaving students inspired and better informed about academic and career possibilities beyond their undergraduate studies.
