Chemistry Association Inauguration
The Department of Chemistry at KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, inaugurated its association on 03 January 2025 at the college seminar hall from 10:30 to 12:30. The program was graced by the presence of the distinguished resource person, Dr. Reji Thomas, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, Farook College, Calicut, who delivered an enlightening session on "Molecular Electronics – A Technology of Future Electronics". The program commenced with a prayer creating a serene and inspiring atmosphere. Dr. Deepa K, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Chemistry, extended a warm welcome to the gathering. The Presidential Address was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur, Principal of the college, who highlighted the importance of such academic events in fostering knowledge and innovation. The association was officially inaugurated by Dr. Reji Thomas, who then conducted a thought-provoking and insightful session on the potential of molecular electronics in shaping future technologies. A felicitation was offered by Ms. Suhada KM, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, recognizing the collective efforts of the department and students in organizing the event. The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Ms. Ridha E, Association Secretary and a 3rd-semester BSc Chemistry student, expressing gratitude to the resource person, dignitaries, faculty, and participants. The event was a great success, providing an engaging platform for students and faculty to delve into cutting-edge advancements in chemistry and electronics. It marked the beginning of a promising academic journey for the Chemistry Association at KAHM Unity Women’s College.
