PG and Research Department of Botany organized the inauguration of Planting Vegetable Seedlings at the Polyhouse of our Campus on 16/09/2025. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Usman A, Head of the Department through the symbolic act of planting vegetable seedlings in the prepared garden plots. The event began with an awareness talk for the students about the importance of sustainable practices, organic farming, and promoting eco-friendly lifestyles.  Every Faculty members of Botany Department,  5th semester BSc Botany Students, and lab attenders were actively participated in the program by planting seedlings of Chilli in the designated plots. The initiative aims to promote awareness among students about the value of kitchen gardens, food security, and healthy living. It also provides hands-on experience in gardening, fostering responsibility and teamwork among students. The program was a successful step towards encouraging self-sufficiency, environmental conservation, and community participation by maintaining a vegetable garden within the campus. Ms. Surya E V and Ms. Zeva Khan of 5th semester BSc Botany coordinated the program.
