PG and Research Department of Botany organized an alumni lecture on 15th September 2025 with the theme “Success Mantra for Competitive Exams”. The session delivered by Ms. Fathima Saniya P. M., an accomplished alumna of the department who has successfully cleared both CSIR JRF (AIR-91) and ICAR JRF (AIR-71) examinations.The resource person provided valuable insights into the strategies required for competitive exam preparation. She elaborated on the importance of understanding the syllabus thoroughly, preparing a systematic study plan and adopting effective learning techniques. Ms. Fathima Saniya also highlighted the significance of time management, revision schedules and the role of confidence and perseverance in clearing competitive examinations. Students actively interacted during the session, raising queries regarding the exam pattern, syllabus coverage and preparation challenges, which were addressed with practical tips and guidance.The program commenced with a welcome address and alumnae introduction by the Head of the Department, Dr. Usman A., who emphasized the importance of such interactions in inspiring current students. The session felicitated by Dr. Hussain K. (Assistant Professor) and Ms. Sudheesha K. (Assistant Professor Adhoc), who appreciated the efforts of the resource person in motivating the students. The event successfully coordinated by Dr. Deepa P. and Ms. Fathima Rinsha M. of Ist Semester MSc Botany. The lecture served as a motivating and informative platform, equipping the students with essential knowledge and confidence to pursue success in various competitive examinations.
