"Trekking to Unity Hills: Celebrating National Mountain Climbing Day"

To commemorate National Mountain Climbing Day, the P.G. and Research Department of Botany organized an adventurous trekking programme to Unity Hills, Manjeri. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from both P.G. and U.G. students of the department. The programme aimed to foster environmental awareness and a deeper appreciation for biodiversity in natural landscapes. The trek commenced in the afternoon with a brief orientation and safety instructions given by the faculty coordinators. Students, accompanied by faculty members, trekked through the scenic trails of Unity Hills, observing various plant species, local flora, and ecological features along the way. Overall, the event was well-organized, educational, and refreshing, leaving students inspired to engage more deeply with nature and environmental issues.
