Sustainable Mushroom Harvesting

On 10th January 2025, the Botany Department of KAHM Unity Women’s College conducted a successful mushroom harvesting program under the coordination of the Head of the Department, Dr. Usman A. This initiative aimed to provide hands-on learning experiences for students while highlighting the importance of sustainable agricultural practices. The activity involved the careful harvesting of mushrooms at their optimal growth stage, with students actively participating and gaining practical knowledge under Dr. Usman’s expert guidance. The harvested mushrooms were precisely sorted, packaged, and distributed to the college community, including faculty, staff, and students, promoting healthy eating habits and sustainable living
