PG Department of Botany at KAHM Unity Women's College, Manjeri, organized an educational visit to the National Institute of Plant Genome Research, Delhi, on 3rd January 2025 for Sixth-Semester B.Sc. Botany students. The visit aimed to provide students with exposure to advanced research in Genomics, Molecular Biology and cutting-edge methodologies. The institution's faculties introduced the students to its history, highlighted significant past and ongoing research projects, and discussed the current advancements in genomic studies. They also guided the students through the operational mechanisms of various instruments and technologies used in genomic research, offering practical insights into modern tools and techniques. This experience effectively bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and its practical applications, inspiring students to explore innovative fields in Plant Science and Biotechnology while broadening their academic and research horizons.
