A Session on Botanical Innovation

A Session on Botanical Innovation
The fourth semester postgraduate students of the Department of Botany at KAHM Unity Women’s College attended a one-day seminar organized by the Department of Botany, University of Calicut, on 16th December 2024. The seminar, titled “Techniques and Applications of Chlorophyll Fluorescence to Study Abiotic, Biotic & Environmental Stress Effects in Plants,” was held at the Seminar Hall and started at 10:00 AM. Dr. Gert Schansker, an Application Scientist from Heinz Walz GmbH, Germany, led the session, which included live demonstrations of photosynthetic instruments and technical discussions on photosynthesis. The students were accompanied by their teachers, Ms. Surya and Ms. Shifa. They gained valuable insights into the use of chlorophyll fluorescence to study plant stress responses. The seminar helped the students understand advanced techniques, observe practical applications, and interact with an international expert. It was a great learning experience that connected theoretical knowledge with practical research methods.
