Mushroom Culture Workshop

The PG Department of Botany, KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, organized a workshop titled "Mushroom Culture: Mycelium Mastery - Turning Spores into Bountiful Harvests" on 10th December 2024. Coordinated by Ms. Shifa M. and student coordinator Ms. Daliya T.P., the event provided practical knowledge on mushroom cultivation techniques and their economic potential. The workshop highlighted the importance of mushrooms as a sustainable food source and a viable business or home venture for students. Participants gained insights into substrate preparation, mycelium growth, and sustainable farming practices. The program was well-received and inspired students to explore mushroom cultivation as an entrepreneurial opportunity.
