Inspiring Success: CSIR-UGC NET Orientation Program for PG Students

On 28th October 2024, the PG Department of Botany organized an insightful Alumni Lecture featuring Riya Fathima, an accomplished alumna who has successfully qualified for both the CSIR-UGC JRF and ICAR-AICE JRF. The session, Inspiring Success: CSIR-UGC NET Orientation Program for PG Students, aimed to inspire and guide Botany students on the path toward excelling in competitive examinations.
The event began with Shifa M. extending a warm welcome to all participants and introducing the guest speaker. Riya Fathima, known for her academic achievements, shared valuable insights into effective preparation strategies, study techniques and time management skills essential for competitive exams in the Life Sciences. She encouraged students to approach these exams with confidence and offered practical tips on resource selection and exam-taking strategies. The interactive session saw active participation from the students, who eagerly shared their questions and concerns regarding exam preparation. 
The program effectively coordinated by Nadiya K.T. and Jumana K. of the Third Semester M.Sc. Botany, who ensured the smooth flow of the event. The lecture concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Jumana K., expressing gratitude to the resource person for her motivational guidance and to the participants for their enthusiasm and engagement. The lecture proved to be an invaluable experience, inspiring students to pursue their career goals with renewed dedication and confidence.
